A LIVING AMERICAN TRADITION

Western Swing isn't just music, it's a Cherished American Legacy.
Western Swing is a true American original, conceived in the West Texas cotton fields, born in Cowtown, and raised in dancehalls. Shaped by fiddles and steel guitar, it’s music made for dancing, and a vital part of our cultural heritage.
WESTERN SWING ALLIANCE
WHY IT MATTERS
For decades, Western Swing was the soundtrack of Saturday nights, and entire communities were dancing their troubles away. The dancehalls may be quieter now, but the music hasn't lost its charm. The trailblazers who shaped this sound and kept things cookin' are now part of history leaving us to carry it forward.

WESTERN SWING ALLIANCE
OUR MISSION
The Western Swing Alliance, through Fiddles On Wheels, exists to promote, preserve, and pass down Western Swing to future generations. We support education, live performances, and community-building that keep the music vibrant, relevant, and alive.

KEEPING FIDDLE CULTURE ALIVE
FIDDLES ON WHEELS
Fiddles on Wheels is a labor of love, born the day Sherry McKenzie and Cindy Roberts met at a fiddle jam. The more they spoke, the more they knew they wanted to ensure that the music, history, stories, and names would endure long after they were gone, leading to the formation of Fiddles on Wheels. Their desire is to help keep the fiddling culture alive through performance and education.
